Protect the climate and the rainforest
ACELPA is a non-profit association that relies on the support of partners and donors. ACELPA is suported by the foundation GLS Treuhand Zukunftsstiftung Entwicklung, the association Rettet den Regenwald e. V. in Hamburg and the association El Puente Brücke Europa-Peru e. V. in Ravensburg. You can donate via these organisations to ACELPA.
Purchase of land
Since 2014, ACELPA has already acquired 600 hectares of forest and placed it under protection as public property. The land does not belong to private individuals and cannot be deforested or sold.
In order to expand the nature conservation zone and to preserve as large an area of the Amazon jungle as possible, further forest plots are to be acquired.
The costs – depending on the plot – amount to 200 to 300 euros per hectare, including notary and registration costs.
Agricultural project
Training in biodynamic agriculture enables the inhabitants to produce food and income in harmony with nature. A permaculture model farm is under construction. Further investments in tools, seeds and tree seedlings as well as training are needed. Local and regional sales structures are to be established. People will only protect the forest if they have the opportunity to live a decent life in harmony with it.
The costs for the agricultural project and the biodynamic training courses amount to around 40,000 euros per year. This is a start-up financing until the project is self-sustaining.
Legal assistance fund
In order to defend the ancestral land rights of the inhabitants, a legal aid fund requires approximately 10,000 euros per year.

In Tamshiyacu, in addition to the purchase of forest land, the foundation supports the agro-ecological project and the expansion of the biodynamic educational farm.
The GLS Treuhand Zukunftsstiftung Entwicklung issues deductible donation receipts. The organisation is a recipient of the donation certification of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI).
The association buys rainforest land to complicate the cocoa company’s expansion plans. The areas are secured as a nature conservation zone jointly owned by ACELPA.
With a donation of 10 euros, local people can buy and preserve up to 300 square metres of Amazon rainforest. This amount also includes the costs for surveying, notary, formalities and visits to the authorities. In addition, the maintenance, preservation and guarding by patrols.
Rettet den Regenwald e.V. is recognized as a charity, donations can thus be claimed for tax purposes withing the EU.
The association was founded in 2010 and is recognised as a non-profit organisation and donations can be claimed for tax purposes. It runs fundraising, networking and public relations work for ACELPA in Germany. Donation receipts are issued for an amount of 200 Euro or more.
